Free Community Releases

A portion of the work in this section is distributed freely on Thingiverse, where I share print-ready models for the wider maker and engineering community. These uploads include small mechanical tools, aerodynamic test shapes, simple fixtures, and creative concept designs that do not require the full depth of engineering documentation found elsewhere on this site.

The goal of these free releases is to provide learning resources for students and hobbyists, while also contributing to the open-source 3D printing ecosystem. Many of these models come from experimental drafts or early prototypes that were later refined into larger projects.

All models on Thingiverse are available at no cost and can be downloaded, printed, modified, or remixed under the permissive licenses provided.

I build accurate NURBS-based engineering models using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and structured CAD workflows. Most of my models are dimensionally correct, fully parametric, and designed with real manufacturing principles in mind.

30 cm → 8 cm Funnel Adapter for IKEA IDEALISK + Lion Star Jar

Need to channel a full-size 30 cm IKEA IDEALISK colander (inner side) into a compact 8 cm container? This adapter funnel is designed exactly for that — turning a wide Swedish kitchen tool into a perfectly aimed Indonesian storage solution… printed on a Chinese Elegoo Saturn 6 Max. A true global collaboration.

Why I Designed This

I wanted to transfer ingredients from large batches directly into a Lion Star jar, which has an ~8 cm opening. Most funnels are too small or too narrow for the flow rate needed, and the IDEALISK colander already does a great job at holding/straining material — it just needed a proper “neck.”

So this part acts as a precision-fit funnel adapter.

Features 30 cm inner-diameter top flange matches the inside of the IKEA IDEALISK colander. 8 cm outer-diameter bottom spout for Lion Star jars or similar containers. Smooth inner walls for faster flow. Strong, thick walls for durability (especially with PLA). Works with powders, grains, nuts, dried foods, or general workshop materials. Print Settings Material: PLA (recommended), PETG or ABS also fine Layer Height: 0.2 mm Grid Infill: 15–20% is enough Supports: No Orientation: Print upright, spout pointing down Printer Used: Elegoo Saturn 4 Max (model works for FDM)

Assembly / Use Just place the adapter inside the IKEA IDEALISK colander and set the spout into your Lion Star jar. The colander stays stable thanks to its wide contact area. Why I Designed This

I wanted to transfer ingredients from large batches directly into a Lion Star jar, which has an ~8 cm opening. The V2.0 now featured a exponential curved for better flow and laminarity which I confirmed via CFD tools such as Ansys. Yes, I am that nerd. Thank you. Lol

Same as the V1.0, the V2.0 printability have same setting. Features 30 cm inner-diameter top flange matches the inside of the IKEA IDEALISK colander. 8 cm outer-diameter bottom spout for Lion Star jars or similar containers. Smooth inner walls for faster flow. Strong, thick walls for durability (especially with PLA). Works with powders, grains, nuts, dried foods, or general workshop materials. This V2.0 also proven to have better compression strength compared to the V1.0 due to the characteristic of the monocoque-rigid cody behavior. This logics comes to the fact that an edged body statically have greater shear factor in the meet up points due to different force factor than the gradual curve of the V2.0 version
